South Beach: Week One [Jun. 14th, 2005|12:53 am]

I weighed myself today: 1.5 pounds lost.

I'm disappointed. I know they say 1-2 pounds is the appropriate amount to lose, but I know I could have lost more (even if some was water weight) and eaten carbs too.

South Beach (no carb for the first two weeks) makes me think about food all the time. They are right when they say it's the carbs that fill you up.

I cheated a little this week, because my friend's family cooked for a bunch of us. They were in from out of town. That's about it though.



Losing motivation and self-control... very very hard to make myself exercise when I'm not eating any energy food. :(

After South Beach is over, I wanna go back to low-cal.

I am going out of town this week. I won't have as much chance to choose food or exercise, so when I come back I am starting fresh. I will be doing South Beach Diet when I return and exercising at least three times a week.

I feel soo much better today! :)

My love handles look smaller and my tummy flatter. (Could have a little to do that I'm water-deprived, though... oops. Mental note: Drink more water!) I have lost that extra pound I had gained back this weekend from junk/party food! YAY!! Now I'm feeling nice and confident for my job interview this morning. :) Cross your fingers for me!

Dangit! I ate like 1400 calories yesterday, and I gained half a pound. I think it is because I'm holding water weight or something.. I'm going to have to start drinking more water.

I've already lost a pound and a half! The livejournal communities keep me upbeat, and the FitDay calorie counter keeps me mindful of snacking calories so I don't overeat.

Yay! 23.5 pounds to go before August 1!

Hi, everyone! I'm a college girl who is trying to lose weight before the fall semester.

My highest weight was about 185, my current (starting) weight is 180, and my goal by August 1 is 155. I know we can get healthy together! :) I am a FitDay user, and it says my goal loss is about 2.4 pounds per week.
